Raceway Park will run drag races as per the 2008 NHRA Rule Book with the following regulations in effect:

  1. Changing from money to trophy (or visa versa) or eliminator change must be done before inspection closes (1:30 p.m.).
  2. During eliminations all cars must be in their respective staging lane by "last call".
  3. The bye run for first round of eliminations for Super ET, Pro ET, Motorcycle/Snowmobile and Street ET will be chosen randomly from the tech cards.
  4. The NHRA ladder will be used for all classes when there are 32 or less cars remaining in competition. The format of the ladder is based on reaction time. This will give a bye run, if warranted, to the best non-red reaction time ONLY IN THE FIRST LADDER PRINTED for that race day. After the ladder is established, the bye run is no longer based on reaction time it is based on the NHRA ladder format. Should an opponent break or not return to race, the other racer will receive a competition single. Once the NHRA-style ladder is established, a racer could technically earn more than one bye run on a given day.
  5. Liquid burnouts will be allowed in all classes, water only, in the designated area, which are the two concrete pads behind the starting line. Anyone who puts water anywhere else and does a burnout will be disqualified immediately. It is the driver's responsibility to make his burnout, be staged and ready to run before the preceding pair of cars clears the traps. Over-the-line burnouts are prohibited. For race cars that have operating front brakes only. To ensure a safe and proper race, the Official Starter and/or Management may, at their discretion and with sole authority, temporarily suspend any rule(s).
  6. If there is a timing equipment malfunction, reruns will be decided upon on a per incident basis. ALL DECISISION ARE UP TO THE RTACK MANAGER AND ARE FINAL.
  7. Anyone falsifying tech card information as to a cubic inch displacement or clutch flywheel and pressure plate equipment, OR falsifying Age or Driver's License Number OR using electronics in Pro ET or Street ET will be banned for a given time to be determined by the tech committee. The violator's name will be passed on to the NHRA Officials and Division 1 tracks.
  8. Mini bikes, cycles, 3-wheel and 4-wheel ATVs are allowed for towing purposes only by ADULT (17 year old & older) individuals. KIDS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE IN THE PITS WITH ANY TYPE OF MOTORIZED VEHICLE. Driver's car or cycle numbers must be on the motorized tow vehicle.
  9. Antifreeze is prohibited in racecars, i.e. Super/Pro. Excessive spillage of any kind resulting in any type of clean up is grounds for disqualification for the remainder of the day.
  10. It is the driver's responsibility to have his/her dial-in on the race vehicle each round. Dial-ins for the 1/4 Mile Track must be on both the left side (driver's side) so that they can be read from the tower. Dial-ins for the 1/8 Mile Track must be on both the right side (Passenger's side) and the center of the front windshield so that they can be read from the tower. Raceway Park will make every effort possible to dial-in cars correctly, and drivers MUST check their dial-in posted on the scoreboard and the dial-in of your opponent on the dial-in boards above the Christmas tree BEFORE they stage. Once you stage, you accept the race, there will be no re-runs for incorrect dial-ins. If your dial-in is wrong, or that of your opponent, don't stage! Drivers may dial either quicker or slower each round to compensate for changing conditions. In the event of a re-run, dial-ins MUST remain the same unless the track manager allows it because of changing conditions. No verbal dial-in changes will be permitted. The track personnel will only dial-in what is printed on the vehicle. Illegible dial-ins resulting in improper input by tower personnel will not be cause for a rerun. All dial-ins must be placed on the vehicle prior to pulling through the hole in the sound wall on the 1/4 mile & out of the lanes on the 1/8 mile track. All Drivers MUST be ready to race at the HOLE IN THE WALL, any broken vehicles after this point are subject to disqualification. Once your car is paired, either by ladder or track official, there can be no substitutions. (No car changes, if a car breaks there will be a competition single.)
  11. 11. Sunoco Super Challenge Points Racers are no longer permitted to display "DEEP" on their vehicles. Deep staging will NO LONGER be recognized but is STILL permitted. See the NHRA Division One website for further explanation on this new rule. This rule only applies to the following classes: Super ET, Pro ET, Street ET, Motorcycle ET, Real Street & Corvette Challenge.
  12. After eliminations begin, only round winners will be permitted back into the staging lanes. Cars waiting for time trials or license tests (if time permits) will wait in the pits until a lane is announced over the P.A. System and FM 90.3 (1/4 mile) and FM 87.9 (1/8 mile) on your radio. Do NOT enter the Test and Tune Lane. 1/8 Miles cars will be permitted to make 1/4 mile runs when time permits during down time between final rounds of eliminations at the 1/4 mile track.
  13. Drivers will be allowed to run in two eliminators in a given day provided the driver buys a tech card for each eliminator before inspection closes. It is understood that eliminators will not be held up waiting for anyone running two classes. Tech cards may not be purchased anywhere except at the Pit Gate prior to tech closing. Bucks Drivers refer to 2006 Sunoco Super Challenge Points Series Rules for specific restrictions.
  14. Noise Curfew - Racing MUST be completed by 7:30 PM on Sundays regardless of where we are in the eliminators. Time Trials begin at 9:00 AM for Muffled vehicles. Super ET & Pro ET will have one time session unless time permits for a second time trial. Eliminations will start as close to 2:00 PM as possible.
  15. Due to our curfew, if at 7:30 PM we are not finished racing, payouts and points shall be split based on the last completed round of racing. This means that if there were 3 cars left, all 3 would get the same money and the same points (if applicable).
  16. Track management's decision is final in any racing situation or dispute.
